2024 Goals

This new year has seen many changes for my household. In January I left a job that I’d been at for nearly three years, and my husband and I moved to Seattle. All of this is a positive move to be in a place that we love, and where we see ourselves settling down for the long run. In the midst of all of this change, I decided to intentionally create space and focus for my creative writing.

My creative writing goals at the beginning of the year, at where I'm at now:

Finish Draft 2 of my YA SciFi novel, When the Moons Align

DONE! This draft is currently out with beta readers and my goal is to pitch this to agents when I attend the Willamette Writers Conference in August

Create an outline for a new short story idea (A Mars story!)

Draft one is written! But as I was writing I started wondering if this actually the basis for my next long-form project? We will see!

Begin blogging monthly

This is in the works! This website update is the start of completing this goal.

I'll return to this list at the end of the year and see where I'm at. Cheers to new places, patterns, and habits! Excited to see what this year will hold!
